Investing in your child's future

Choosing an educational community is one of the most meaningful investments a family can make. At Firefly Farm & Forest, our programs offer a unique and valuable return on that investment, nurturing your child's growth in a truly exceptional outdoor setting.

Why invest in Firefly Farm & Forest?

At Firefly Farm & Forest, tuition reflects far more than the hours your child spends with us. It represents an investment in exceptional educator support, meaningful relationships, individualized learning, and an environment intentionally designed to nurture the whole child.

Unparalleled support and individualized attention

Unlike many educational settings, we intentionally limit enrolment to just 16 children, supported by five educators, creating an average educator-to-child ratio of 1:3. This allows us to truly know each child—their interests, strengths, learning style, and developmental journey—while providing the guidance and encouragement they need to flourish.

Our educators are not simply supervising children. They are observing, documenting learning, extending children's ideas, supporting emotional regulation, preparing rich invitations to explore, and fostering the confidence that develops through authentic relationships and meaningful engagement.

Experiential learning for holistic development

Children at Firefly don't sit at desks completing worksheets. Instead, they spend their days caring for animals, tending gardens, woodworking, cooking over a campfire, preparing herbal remedies, exploring forests, documenting seasonal changes, building shelters, solving real problems, and collaborating with peers.

These experiences are carefully designed to foster natural learning outcomes across every developmental domain. A child building a shelter isn't just playing; they're developing:

  • Communication and collaboration
  • Engineering and mathematical thinking
  • Literacy through planning and documentation
  • Scientific inquiry and observation
  • Executive functioning
  • Risk assessment
  • Creativity
  • Confidence
  • Resilience

At Firefly, learning doesn't happen around the experience. The experience is the curriculum.
